The uncomfortable part
A lot of debt isn't planned. It just accumulates.
Loans get added one at a time, with different lenders, for different reasons - and nobody looks at how they fit together.
Home and investment debt mixed up
No strategy for which debt gets paid down first.
Equity sitting idle
Home equity with no plan for whether - or how - to use it.
Consumer debt eating cash flow
High-interest debt quietly limiting everything else.
Borrowing without an exit
Investment loans taken on with no clear repayment strategy.

How Silverloom works
Strategy first. Product second.
Advice starts with your whole financial position - cash flow, tax, debt, property, investments, super, insurance and estate planning - and the strategy comes before any product conversation.
Clarity
A clear picture of where you are, where you're heading, and what it will take to get there.
Understanding
You'll understand the reasoning behind every recommendation - not just the paperwork.
Access
Direct access to your adviser when you need it, including outside business hours by arrangement.
What to expect
Four plain steps. No hard sell.
Book a time
Pick a time for your initial call. It's a 20-30 minute phone conversation - no preparation needed.

Is this for you?
The free consultation is most useful if you:
- Have a mortgage, investment loans or business debt and want a clear strategy for it
- Earn well, but aren't sure your finances are structured efficiently
- Hold property, investments, super or a business and want them working together
- Want a strategy - and an adviser you can actually reach - not just a product
If you're only after a quick product recommendation, we're probably not the right fit - and we'd rather tell you that upfront.

Questions
Before you book
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The initial consultation costs nothing and there is no obligation to go any further.
What happens in the free consultation?
It's two short, no-obligation sessions. First, a 20-30 minute phone call to understand your goals and whether advice could help. If it makes sense, a 45-60 minute Financial Discovery Session, held online, looks at your full financial position. You'll know what advice would involve, and what it would cost, before you commit to anything.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No. A rough idea of your income, super, property and debts is helpful, but not required.
Do I need to come into an office?
No. Silverloom advises clients online right across Australia. The initial call is by phone and the Financial Discovery Session is held online, so you can meet from home, work or anywhere that suits you.
What does advice cost?
Fees depend on the scope of advice you need. They are explained clearly before you commit to anything and set out in writing in your Statement of Advice. More detail is in our Financial Services Guide.
Do I have to sign up for ongoing advice?
No. Advice can be a one-off strategy you put in place yourself, or an ongoing arrangement if that suits you better. The level of service and the fees are agreed with you in writing before anything starts.
Will I be pushed into a product?
No. The free sessions are about understanding your position and whether advice makes sense for you. Strategy comes first - any product discussion only happens later, as part of formal advice.
